Ear Modular is an independent modular synthesizer and electronic instrument brand exploring the boundary between analog circuitry, tactile interaction, and experimental sound. It began as a response to predictability, seeking instruments that allow sound to remain raw, unstable, and alive.
Windstring, Nightrain, Paperbird, and Mixout
Here, noise and distortion are treated as creative resources. Each patch becomes an experiment shaped by uncertainty, where knobs, lights, and feedback form an active dialogue between human and machine.
Hadouken, Trot, and Boxing
Through collaborations with visual designers, Ear Modular blurs the line between instrument and artwork. Rather than pursuing perfection, it creates spaces for risk, chance, and imagination, challenging conventions and opening new ways of experiencing sound.
Solar Sound Card Series
Many of these works have been featured in sound art exhibitions and live showcases, where audiences can interact directly with the modules. Presenting Ear Modular in these contexts has deepened my interest in how design, performance, and spatial experience shape the way we perceive sound.
